What I wear: The Rule of Three

Hey Everyone! Happy Wednesday to you! Hope you're having a great week thus far! We're hangin' out at our favorite place of course, Cafe Smitten, just enjoying this beautiful Fall weather. The trees are still very green here, so Fall is just a word we use, not really something we see (insert eye rolling emoji).

Anyways, it is actually under 70 degrees now, so that means Bakersfield people can start to layer! Hooray! Bring on the sweaters and scarves!

Which brings me to the whole point of this entire post; The Rule of Three. What the heck even is that? Maybe you've heard of this before, but I actually saw it on my friend Karina's blog, and it has significantly influenced the way I put together an outfit. The rule that you wear at least three things to put together a whole outfit.

For example, If you're a tunic and leggins kinda gal, add a hat or a necklace (or why not both) and boom! Complete and styled outfit! It just looks a little more intentional. Added bonus if you decide to wear a hat, you don't have to wash your hair!

You can see from these pictures I'm really into hats. It's because I really hate doing my hair. I only do it like once a week. Dry shampoo and hats are my best friend.

Here are a few examples of how I put this practice into action. Hats, hats, all kind of hats. Also bandannas and cardigans are super helpful!

Do you have any little tricks like the rule of Three? What are they? I'd love to hear all about them!!
